This company was originally founded by an Italian man who moved to St Austell of Cornwall in the late 19th century. In 1918, however, the business only provided Kelly’s of Cornwall ice creams, using the first beginnings of what we now know as an ice cream van. Kelly’s of Cornwall ice cream is a permanent feature in the Royal Cornwall show after its debut there in 1947, where it proved extremely popular.
